Geographic and Thematic Scope
Our geographic scope remains evidence-based. Planned expansion is separated, visually and verbally, from present operations.
Geographic Scope
A location is only shown as covered when a programme has been approved or delivered there.
Operational base
Port Harcourt is FDI’s operational base and the primary location for its present organisational development, partnerships and major public programmes. The city provides access to young people, schools, professional networks, civil society organisations and institutions across Rivers State.
Active territory
FDI intends to work across Rivers State through programmes that respond to leadership, education, enterprise, digital access and community-development needs. Specific local government areas should be named only when a programme has been approved or delivered there.
Regional ambition
The organisation’s regional ambition is to contribute to a Niger Delta where young people have stronger skills, broader opportunity and a meaningful role in building peaceful and prosperous communities. Expansion should be guided by partnerships, needs assessment and delivery capacity.
Future direction
FDI aims to develop programme models that can be tested locally, improved through evidence and adapted for other Nigerian communities. National expansion is a future direction, not a claim of current nationwide operations.
Thematic Scope
Each programme page should identify its primary theme, supporting themes, target participants, location, SDGs and intended outcomes so that programmes can be filtered by focus area.
Personal growth, skills, networks and opportunity.
Character, decision-making, communication and service.
Structured learning and capacity building.
Entrepreneurship, financial capability and business growth.
Access, literacy, safety and technology skills.
Fair participation and targeted support for girls and women.
Dialogue, conflict prevention and community trust.
Responsible engagement in community and public life.
Locally relevant, practical and sustainable action.
Scope a Programme
Programme design begins with consultation. Speak with FDI about a community, school or local government area.
